The RE/MAX Story
When Dave and Gail Liniger looked around at the real estate business in the early 1970's,
they concluded that the majority of real estate agents traditionally split their
commissions with their brokers, leaving the few top-producing agents in any office
to support the low producers.
Believing that agents are the backbone of real estate, the Linigers concluded
that a company should attract quality people and offer them unlimited freedom
to succeed. Thus, in 1973 they revolutionized the industry by establishing RE/MAX
as an alternative to conventional real estate practice.
Today RE/MAX Sales Associates average twice the real estate experience and three times as many sales as other agents. Perhaps that is why Franchise Buyer magazine selected RE/MAX as their top pick among real estate organizations in their December 1995 issue.
